Topic Thursday: Get Some Rest

For years I have struggled with a healthy sleep pattern. Sleep and rest are so important in keeping a fit life. From athletes to non-athletes, having a good night of rest affects so many aspects of your everyday life. If you’re training and exercising, sleep allows your body to recover and repair. A good night or rest will prepare your body to focus, remember, and handle stress.

Here is just a simple list of things a good night rest of 7-8 hours of sleep affects:

  1. Immune System
  2. Sex Drive
  3. Attention Span
  4. Memory
  5. Pain
  6. Risk of injury
  7. Muscle repair
